We have read your novell Fishbone. We think that there is some interesting points of view. The whole situation with the handling of the pregnancy must be every young girl’s nightmare. Her life has just been paused, but it is great that she might leave it all, for her sake. The answer to the whole problem might be for her to leave, start all over. Though we don’t know wether she takes a different bus than she’s supposed to, or not.

Why “Fishbone”?

Is there any politic in “Fishbone”? And what sort of politic?

We read your story “Fishbone,” and wanted to give a comment to you about it. We thought that the story is very good, because it’s very relevant to youngsters now and in the future. What happens to Wanda is very realistic and therefore very interesting to read. The relationship between Meemaw and Ed is very complicated, which makes it exciting for the reader to figure out why it is as it is. In the end where Wanda has to figure out where she wants to go and what kind of work she wants is a good ending, it makes the reader wonder and think further than the story is written.
